Tread Lightly! | AZ

Protect the Adventure

AZ trails don't protect themselves!

This is where Tread Lightly! comes in. From the high deserts of the Tonto National Forest to the rugged peaks of the Prescott, TL! serves as a vital bridge between outdoor enthusiasts and the protection of our public lands.

By fostering a culture of responsible recreation, we work to ensure Arizona’s iconic motorized trails and open spaces remain accessible for today’s adventurers and healthy for future generations. Through strategic partnerships with local clubs, land management agencies, and dedicated volunteers, our Arizona-based initiatives focus on balancing high-impact recreation with sustainable land stewardship.

Our mission remains clear: to PROTECT THE ADVENTURE and accessibility of the Arizona backcountry through education and hands-on stewardship.

Not just talk - Boots on the ground

As much as you rely on us, we rely on the collective power of people like you as member clubs and individual members to provide the foundational funding necessary for large-scale land protection and motorized access initiatives. TL! further depends on dedicated volunteers to perform the essential “boots-on-the-ground” work, from clearing thousands of pounds of debris to restoring fire-damaged habitats across Arizona’s public lands.
