31 Jan Signage and Barrier Installation on Daniel OHV Trail in Uwharrie NF
STATUS: COMPLETED
VOLUNTEER EVENT DATE: March 1, 2016
Description from USFS Volunteer, Darin Touw:
I’ve volunteered in Uwharrie for over 25 years. One of the OHV trails, Daniel, is in desperate need of repairs. Barriers need to be installed to protect the environment off of the trail. Trash collection is completed monthly, additional signage is needed to direct users to stay on the designated trail.
Awarded funds will be used in the effort to keep users on the designated trail and off of the protected land that surrounds it.
