Upcoming Events

Check out our upcoming volunteer opportunities on our social channels along with other ways you can get involved with Tread Lightly!

Volunteers are the backbone of what we do at Tread Lightly!. Our reach and impact relies upon your support to connect and support local trail needs. Our stewardship events take place throughout the year and throughout the country, so you can find one close to you. If not, send us some details about your area and we’ll investigate the opportunity for an official TL! Stewardship Event for your club.

Why volunteer at a TL! Stewardship Event?

  • Keep access open
  • Enhance safety
  • Protect resources
  • Build community
  • Make friends
  • Learn skills

Events can include installing new signage, fixing existing signage, constructing fencing or gates, clearing brush or other trail blockages.

Will we be in your area this year? Probably. Make sure to follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date with all our events. You’ll get all the details there.

Project Needs in Your Area? Consider some TLC (Tread Lightly! Care)

Practicing the TREAD Lightly Principles means being a good steward of America’s Public Lands. We rely on volunteers all across the country just like you. Helping to keep trail open and healthy by Doing Your Part. If there is an local area that we haven’t got to yet that could use some TLC (Tread Lightly! Care), fill out the form opposite and we’ll see what we can do to lend a hand.

Although we focus on motorized access, we can also help with other use trails. So don’t let that stop you.

Some things to look out for when out on the trail.

  • Damaged signage
  • Lots of trash
  • Blocked access
  • Vandalism
