Restoration for Recreation was established circa 1997 to generate voluntary funding from the private sector. Since then, Tread Lightly! and its partners from both the private and public sectors, along with the sweat of volunteers have been building bridges, improving maps and signage, and restoring damaged areas and degraded trails into enjoyable recreation resources. The environmental economic and social value to the nation is priceless.
Donate now to help protect your access to the great outdoors!
In fact, Restoration for Recreation may be the only program in the country designed to generate funding from the private sector to help underwrite projects that help maintain or build new recreation infrastructure– which is sorely needed because of public agencies’ dwindling budgets and an ever-growing backlog in maintenance of recreation facilities.
Individuals can get involved by volunteering for upcoming projects or donating today. 100% of donations made to Restoration for Recreation will be entirely dedicated to support on-the-ground projects.
Corporations and organizations who are interested in giving to or raising money for this program should contact Evan Robins at evan@treadlightly.org.
