06 Oct Tread Lightly! announces Land Cruiser Destination Club as its newest Official Partner following fundraising efforts

CENTERVILLE, UT. (Oct 6, 2021)— Tread Lightly!, a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting responsible outdoor recreation through stewardship and educational programs today announced the Land Cruiser Destination Club (LCDC) as its newest Official Partner following its annual event in Ouray, Colorado that raised funds to support Tread Lightly!.

“Being able to donate and support Tread Lightly! has definitely been very rewarding and knowing we could help a great organization through LCDC is awesome,” said Cole Dudley, LCDC Co-Director.

As an Official Partner of Tread Lightly!, LCDC’s support will help to ensure millions of outdoor enthusiasts are reached through trail stewardship projects, recreation training and education campaigns.

“We are blown away by the support from the Land Cruiser Destination Club,” said Matt Caldwell, Tread Lightly! Executive Director. “Not only did they commit to promoting responsible recreation during their annual event, they also raised a substantial amount to support our mission. We are very grateful to this awesome group of off-roaders.”

The Land Cruiser Destination Club started seven years ago with a small group of eight enthusiast 200 Series Land Cruiser owners. What started as an intimate group has grown into a full-fledged event that had close to one hundred 200 Series Land Cruisers this year in Ouray, Colorado. Over the past two events, LCDC has partnered with Tread Lightly! as its Official Outdoor Ethics Sponsor, committing to promoting responsible off-roading to protect trail access.

 “I envisioned an event that was intimate where friends were made and families could play,” said Cody Golliher, LCDC Co-Director. “We all have a love for Land Cruisers but I wanted more than just wheeling and a corporate style event. Its been challenging as we’ve grown but I believe we’ve made been able to maintain our core values.”
