03 Dec Tread Lightly! Impact Report: Alamo Signage Installation
Project: Alamo Signage Installation
Location: Arizona
Description: This project was funded by Can-Am Off-Road. Can-Am has committed to funding trail stewardship projects in partnership with Tread Lightly! to help maintain and improve access to public lands and off-road trails.
On October 29, 2024, Tread Lightly! and the Lake Havasu Office Bureau of Land Management (BLM) worked together to update kiosks and signage on Alamo Road of the Colorado River District.
The kiosk had been missing signage for a long time and together, the TL! Team and BLM were able to install new educational signs and update the kiosks with new stained wood.
The signs will ensure that users know where they are, how to recreate responsibly, and even a little education on the wildlife and desert scrub of the area.
Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
“The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has partnered with Tread Lightly! to replace essential kiosk signs, enhancing resources for off-road enthusiasts. We’re happy to collaborate with others to improve the recreational experience for the public and ensure responsible outdoor practices. Thank you, Tread Lightly!”-Jessica Smith, BLM Park Ranger
