Tread Lightly! Impact Report: Hickman County Cleanup with Bridgestone Americas

Project: Hickman County Cleanup with Bridgestone Americas
Location: Tennessee

Description: On May 17, 2024, 20 volunteers gathered for a cleanup in Hickman County, Tennessee. Together, volunteers removed 921 pounds of trash from the area. Along with this trash removal, volunteers also hauled out illegally dumped items from the area such as 10+ tires, multiple appliances like televisions and microwaves, and other large items including a couch.

This project was made possible thanks to Bridgestone Americas and Firestone.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:

“Bridgestone has a long-standing commitment to sustainability beginning with our founder’s vision of Serving Society with Superior Quality. Our Team Bridgestone volunteers were thrilled to partner with Rivian Clubs of America and Tread Lightly to help make a positive environmental impact in Hickman County. Throughout the day, our teammates worked hard to clean up the trailways and together made a lasting difference in the community.”-Jackie Huser, Sr. Manager, Community Involvement

“We’re thrilled to work together with Team Bridgestone and Rivian Clubs of America to leave this beautiful area better than we found it. This project is just one example of the impact the off-road community and industry can have on improving our natural spaces and protecting the adventure for future generations.”-Matt Gaskins, Tread Lightly! Executive Director
