Project: Hoyt Peak Maintenance Project Day 1
Location: Utah
Description: On June 28, 2025, Tread Lightly! staff joined five volunteers from the Dedicated Hunter Program and the Dispersed Recreation Foreman from the Heber-Kamas Ranger District for a stewardship day at Hoyt Peak.
Volunteers gathered at the Heber-Kamas Ranger District Office and traveled to both the Marion and Samuk access points, where they installed seasonal closure signs to protect critical wildlife corridors. The team also trimmed back overgrown vegetation along designated motorized routes to improve trail visibility and safety. Thank you to the Heber-Kamas Ranger District and the Dedicated Hunters for their continued partnership and commitment to preserving responsible access to public lands.
Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
- Heber-Kamas Ranger District USFS
- Dedicated Hunters
