04 Nov 4 Wheel Parts to Offer Customers Option to Donate to Tread Lightly! at Checkout

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – November 3, 2015 – 4 Wheel Parts, the nation’s largest retail chain of four wheel parts and truck accessories announced a new charitable fundraising initiative to help keep America’s great outdoors open to the public. The new campaign will officially launch on Monday, November 9^th and every 4 Wheel Parts’ store across the country will begin offering its customers the option of rounding up to the next dollar at checkout.

The announcement was made at an open house and reception hosted by Transamerican Auto Parts at its recently renovated 4 Wheel Parts store in Las Vegas.  For a limited time, 100% of all monies collected will go directly to the nonprofit organization Tread Lightly! and can be claimed by consumers as tax-deductible contribution on their annual federal income tax return.

“Just a little change can add up to make a really big difference in helping keep the outdoors healthy and accessible for the benefit and enjoyment of people of all ages and abilities,” said Tread Lightly!’s executive director Lori McCullough. “We’re delighted and grateful 4 Wheel Parts is making it so easy for their customers to support Tread Lightly!’s important cause.”

Funds raised will go toward Tread Lightly!’s renowned education, training and stewardship programs; all of which were strategically designed to instill an ethic of responsibility in a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts and the industries that serve them.  Customers will also have the option of donating amounts larger than their round-up difference.

“We believe in the crucial work Tread Lightly! is doing to help protect people’s opportunities to ride, hunt, fish, camp, etc.  We know our customers are active outdoor enthusiasts themselves and believe a majority will be happy to give to this vital charity,” said Greg Adler, President and CEO of Transamerican Auto Parts, which owns 4 Wheel Parts.

4 Wheel Parts has been supporting Tread Lightly! as an Official Partner since 2010.  All contributions made in stores will be donated to Tread Lightly! through April 30, 2016.  Online outlets will not be participating at this time.
