Project: Rebelle Rally 10th Anniversary Cleanup
Location: California

Description: On October 17, Tread Lightly! proudly supported the 10th anniversary of the Rebelle Rally by sponsoring the event and leading a large-scale cleanup effort the day after competitors crossed the finish line. Following eight demanding days on the course, Rebelle Rally competitors, along with additional community volunteers, returned to the trails to help restore the desert landscape they had just navigated.

A total of 50 volunteers participated in the cleanup, removing an estimated 2,000 pounds of trash, the equivalent of four truckloads, from the surrounding area. This effort not only celebrated a milestone year for the Rebelle Rally but also reinforced a core value shared by both organizations: leaving public lands better than you found them.

The cleanup showcased a strong commitment to stewardship within the off-road and rally communities. Participants demonstrated firsthand how responsible recreation and competition can coexist with conservation, ensuring these iconic desert landscapes remain healthy and accessible for years to come.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
• Rebelle Rally
• Nevada Bureau of Land Management

“We’re honored to support the Rebelle Rally and deeply grateful to all the competitors and volunteers who stepped up to clean the trails after an intense week of racing. This kind of stewardship is what keeps our public lands thriving.”-Michelle Ramos, Tread Lightly! Program Manager
