Project: Public Grove Kiosk Installation Project
Location: Utah

Description: On June 6, 2026, Tread Lightly! partnered with the Logan Ranger District of the U.S. Forest Service and eight dedicated volunteers to complete important infrastructure improvements at the Public Grove recreation area. Working alongside six representatives from the Logan Ranger District, the team assembled and installed a new double-panel kiosk that will serve as a valuable resource for visitors to the area.

Once outfitted with interpretive panels, the kiosk will provide off-highway vehicle (OHV) users with updated trail maps, safety information, and recreation regulations to encourage responsible riding and stewardship of the surrounding public lands.

In addition to the kiosk installation, the project team placed 17 tons of barrier rock to replace broken and damaged fencing. These barriers will help discourage illegal entry during seasonal route closures, protecting sensitive natural resources while supporting the long-term management of the recreation area.

This project demonstrates how strong partnerships and volunteer service can improve public land infrastructure, enhance visitor education, and help protect access to outdoor recreation. By investing in durable improvements today, the project will benefit visitors and land managers for years to come.

A sincere thank you to the Logan Ranger District of the U.S. Forest Service and all of the volunteers who donated their time and effort to make this project a success. Your commitment to protecting and enhancing our public lands is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
