Tread Lightly! Impact Report: Doce Pit Cleanup

Project: Doce Pit Cleanup
State: Arizona

Description: On April 12, the OHV and shooting sports community worked together to clean Doce Pit, a popular shooting sports area in the Prescott National Forest. Together 35 volunteers worked to remove 2,000 pounds of trash from the area.

This cleanup brought together local businesses and volunteers to leave the area better than they found it. Thank you to the community for supporting the Prescott National Forest.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:

“Recently we partnered with Tread Lightly! and Michelle Ramos for a cleanup day out at the Doce Pit, one of the few local shooting areas here on the Prescott National Forest.  Michelle’s quick, enthusiastic response combined with her marketing teams’ stellar designs, really made the online marketing “POP.”  I feel like her contribution and ability to rally other partners was pivotal in the success of the half-day event.  Partners and volunteers alike had a great time. Honestly, I feel I owe 70 or 80% of the success of the event to her energy and her team.  The Prescott National Forest will use Tread Lightly! as often as we can.  I am confident that Michelle’s involvement in any project will produce highly successful results.”-Charles Gray, Prescott National Forest Recreation Program Manager
