Tread Lightly! Reached First Drive 35 Campaign Milestone by reaching 1,000 Responsible Rider Masterclasses Completions
BRP donated $35,000 for conservation and sustainable trail use projects across the USA
NORTH SALT LAKE, UT., (June 29, 2026) — Tread Lightly! is celebrating a major milestone in its Drive 35 campaign after reaching the first goal of 1,000 Responsible Rider Masterclass course completions. Originally launched to celebrate Tread Lightly!’s 35th anniversary, the Drive 35 campaign encourages riders and outdoor recreation enthusiasts to complete free online Responsible Rider Masterclass courses designed to educate users on how to minimize their impact and help protect trails, waterways and snow recreation areas for future generations.
The Drive 35 campaign is supported by BRP, a global leader in powersports, through its Responsible Rider Program. For every Responsible Rider Masterclass completion, BRP has committed to donate $35 to Tread Lightly! to advance conservation and sustainable trail use across the country. With 1,000 courses completed, BRP is therefore contributing $35,000.
Following the achievement of this initial goal, Tread Lightly! is now encouraging riders to continue supporting the cause by completing an additional 1,000 courses for which BRP will continue to donate $35 per course to Tread Lightly!.
“We are proud to partner with Tread Lightly! on the Drive 35 campaign and excited to see the powersports and outdoor recreation community rally behind responsible riding and stewardship,” said Elise Auvachez Millot, Vice-President, Public Affairs, Government Relations and Corporate Sustainability at BRP. “Reaching this first milestone demonstrates the passion riders have for protecting the places they love to explore, and we look forward to supporting even more projects through the next phase of the campaign.”
The Responsible Rider Masterclasses provide practical education on responsible recreation, helping participants understand how small actions can make a lasting impact in protecting the outdoors. It includes three free online courses:
- Offroad 101: focused on responsible off-road vehicle recreation and trail stewardship
- Water 101: promoting sustainable boating and water recreation practices
- Snow 101: educating snowmobile riders on protecting winter recreation areas and sensitive environments
“The success of the Drive 35 campaign shows that recreationists care deeply about access and protecting our shared outdoor spaces,” said James Boyd, Tread Lightly! Executive Director. “Thanks to BRP’s commitment and the participation of riders across the country, these educational courses are directly helping fund meaningful stewardship projects that will benefit outdoor enthusiasts for years to come.”
Tread Lightly! encourages riders, boaters and snow recreation enthusiasts to participate in the next phase of the campaign by completing one or more free courses at ResponsibleRider.com.
