Tread Lightly! is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to promote responsible recreation through stewardship programs and ethics education. Tread Lightly!’s educational message, along with its unique training and restoration initiatives, are strategically designed to instill an ethic of responsibility in outdoor enthusiasts and the industries that serve them. Tread Lightly!’s goal is to balance the needs of the people who enjoy outdoor recreation with the need to maintain a healthy environment.

RIDE ON PROMOTES RESPONSIBLE MOTORIZED RECREATION FOR ENTHUSIASTS, HOBBYISTS, INDUSTRY, AND AGENCIES ALIKE.

Through RIDE ON Designated Roads, Trails and Areas, Tread Lightly! along with the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and many local State agencies, offers education and stewardship focusing on anything with an engine that gets you into the outdoors.
