Project: Big Creek Campground Kiosk and Sign Installation
Location: Idaho
Description: On June 28, partners and volunteers collaborated to install a new educational kiosk and trailhead signage at Big Creek Campground, marking the entrance to Forest Service Road (FSR) 4075 and providing visitors with important information about the surrounding trail system and recent stewardship improvements.
The new kiosk serves as a gateway to the Big Creek trail network, including access to the newly constructed Big Creek single-track bridge. An updated trail map was installed to help recreationists navigate the area safely and responsibly while promoting sustainable trail use.
In addition to improving wayfinding, the kiosk features educational messaging that encourages responsible recreation, highlights the importance of protecting sensitive natural resources, and informs visitors about ongoing conservation efforts in the Big Creek area. The installation provides a lasting resource that will help visitors make informed decisions, minimize impacts, and enjoy the area responsibly for years to come.
By combining clear trail information with conservation education, the project enhances the visitor experience while supporting the long-term stewardship of public lands.
