24 Jul Tread Lightly! Impact Report: Happy Jack – Long Valley & Clover Creek Kiosks
Project: Happy Jack – Long Valley & Clover Creek Kiosks
Location: Arizona
Description: This project was funded by Can-Am Off-Road. Can-Am has committed to funding trail stewardship projects in partnership with Tread Lightly! to help maintain and improve access to public lands and off-road trails.
On June 8, 2024, three volunteers worked at the Happy Jack area in the Coconino National Forest to hang four new signs to help educate OHV riders. The signage features updated maps of the area and educational messaging such as the T.R.E.A.D. Principles to help minimize impact to the area.
Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
“Working with a partner such as Tread Lightly! is always positive and productive. Their knowledge, recommendations, and support are greatly appreciated. The Coconino National Forest, Mogollon Rim Ranger District has been increasing efforts to educate and inform the public on relevant laws, riding responsibly, through T.R.E.A.D. principles. We could not be successful without this support from our Tread Lightly! partners and friends.”-Brady Vandragt, Coconino National Forest
