06 May Tread Lightly! Impact Report: Jeep Beach Coastal Cleanup – Keeping Communities Clean
Project: Jeep Beach Coastal Cleanup – Keeping Communities Clean
Location: Florida
Description: On April 22-24, 2025, approximately 325 volunteers took to the streets of Daytona Beach in their Jeeps to hunt down trash, collect it and drop it in one of two dumpsters specifically designated for this cleanup. Some volunteers picked up trash while they participated in the Jeep Beach Scavenger Hunt while others picked up their Spiderwebshade trash sacks and picked up trash while they enjoyed their time in Daytona Beach.
The cleanup effort was promoted on the local TV network, resulting in many local residents of Daytona Beach also joining in. Every volunteer received a mesh trash sack available through partnership funding from WARN Industries, Real Truck/Rugged Ridge, On-X Off-Road, Bajio Sunglasses and Land Shark Bar and Grill. Two and half dumpster loads were hauled away thanks to the support of Waste Pros. It was incredible to see so many people take time out of their Jeep Beach week activities to help leave Daytona Beach better than they found it!
Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
- Jeep Beach
- WARN Industries
- Real Truck/Rugged Ridge
- on-X Off-Road
- Bajio Sunglasses

“The second annual Jeep Beach Coastal Cleanup was another huge success. Rather than a beach cleanup, this year our focus was on the greater Daytona Beach area. It was created to instill a responsibility for Keeping Our Communities Clean, no matter what your community is, or where your community resides. It is important to always leave an area better than you found it, whether that is a trail, a campground, a National Park, a National Forest or other public and private lands. With everyone pitching in and doing their part, we can all Protect the Adventure for generations to come.” – Lowell Eckart, Southeast Program Manager.
“This was an incredible community effort. Not only by the locals of Daytona Beach, Florida, but by the offroad community who took time away from Jeep Beach festivities to leave the area better than they found it. Thank you to our amazing partners who helped us achieve this.”-Doug Bigelow, Tread Lightly! Executive Director
