Project: National Public Lands Day Ride–Restore–Raffle
Location: Kentucky
Description: On September 27th, a large and dedicated group of volunteers from Black Flag Off-Road gathered at Land Between the Lakes National Forest to celebrate National Public Lands Day with a full day of stewardship, recreation, and community support. Volunteers teamed up with three members of the U.S. Forest Service, combining efforts to clean and restore multiple trail access areas across the forest, including both Turkey Bay OHV and surrounding areas within LBL.
Throughout the event, participants worked hard to remove an estimated 12,000 pounds of trash, making a significant impact on trail health, visitor safety, and the long-term sustainability of this beloved recreation area. In addition to the cleanup, volunteers enjoyed a scenic off-road ride and hosted a raffle to benefit a local nonprofit, further strengthening community connections and support for public lands.
This event showcased the power of partnerships and the passion of the off-road community in protecting public lands for future generations.

“The Ride–Restore–Raffle was more than just a cleanup — it was a community coming together to protect the trails we love. With support from Tread Lightly! and Firestone Tires, we equipped volunteers with the gear they needed to safely restore the land, and they showed up ready to work hard, get dirty, and make a difference. We’re incredibly grateful for every volunteer who gave their time, their sweat, and their heart to this project — and for the sponsors who made it possible. From Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Adams Driveshaft, PRP Seats / SpeedStrap, Moose Knuckle Offroad, INCA 4×4, and White’s Auto Mall, to our local supporters like El Ranchero, Academy Sports + Outdoors, the National Corvette Museum, Red Bull, Sam’s Club, and Chick-fil-A — each one played a part in fueling this mission. Together, we estimated approximately 12,000 pounds of trash was removed from Land Between the Lakes and reminded everyone what real stewardship looks like: people from all walks of life showing up, side-by-side, to take care of public lands. Black Flag Off-Road is proud to stand with Tread Lightly! and these incredible partners to keep the momentum going and continue protecting our trails for the next generation.”- Diana Jackson – Black Flag Off-Road
