Tread Lightly! Impact Report: Sulphide Del Rey Kiosk Installation

Project: Sulphide Del Rey Kiosk Installation
Location: Arizona

Description: This project was funded by Can-Am Off-Road. Can-Am has committed to funding trail stewardship projects in partnership with Tread Lightly! to help maintain and improve access to public lands and off-road trails.

On November 28, 2024, five volunteers installed much-needed trail kiosks and signage at Sulphide Del Rey in the Globe Ranger District, near the Pinal Mountains.

The new signage provides up-to-date OHV trail maps, responsible recreation tips, and information on the history of the area, including a Civilian Conservation Corps camp.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:

“This project will give visitors route information and insight to the history of our cherished mountain as they imagine times past. We appreciate and value our partnership with Tread Lightly! and TRAL and look forward to future collaborations.”- Sheryl Cormack Recreation Management Specialist Forest Service Tonto National Forest Globe Ranger District
