Tread Lightly! Impact Report: Upper Lytle Divide Trail Brushing with SoCal Jeep Junkies

Project: Upper Lytle Divide Trail Brushing with SoCal Jeep Junkies
Location: California

Description:

On the morning of November 11th, 2023, 17 volunteers from the SoCal Jeep Junkies showed up to do their part and give back to public lands. Together the group rolled up their sleeves for some much-needed trail brushing and clearing on the Lower Lytle Creek Divide.

The 8-mile-long trail provides sweeping views of both the Cajon Pass and San Bernardino County while posing minimal challenge to off-roaders. With it being several years since the trail had last been brushed, the group had their work cut out for them. At the end of the day a 3-mile section had been cleared and 50 pounds of trash removed along the way.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:

“On November 11th, 17 volunteers from the SoCal Jeep Junkies took part in a trail cleanup of 3N31 in Lytle Creek.  A large amount of brushing and clearing of several storm drains was completed.  As always it was a pleasure to work with Brandon of Tread Lightly! and Carter from the San Bernardino National Forest. We are looking forward to continuing this work in 2024.”-Jeremiah Ayers, SoCal Jeep Junkies
